Linda, Bonnie, Christina, Ashley, Madison, Abby and all of Linda's and Sam's family: We are just devastated by the loss of Sam. Very seldom in life do we come across someone like him...he becomes your friend instantly. We enjoyed every minute of being with you all over the holidays and thank you so much for inviting us. Things will never be the same, but one thing is for sure - he was with us for a short time but he will be in our hearts forever. We love you.

About a month ago our two children asked my husband and I if we had a favorite teacher growing up. I quickly responded Mr. Zona, my 6th grade teacher!!!!!!!! I remember so many good times in his class, especially when the hamster got loose in the heater and made the classroom stink for a very loooong time. He was always an advocate for his students and such a great role model. I am so sorry for your loss but know that during this difficult time people are celebrating his life with great memories and stories. He filled so many kids hearts and minds with love and self confidence and shaped their future. You now have a personal gaurdian angel that will walk with you every step of this difficult path. My deepest sympathy and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Susan and Adriene,
I would like to render my deepest sympathy. Sam was a dear friend to me from age 13 onward. His engaging, friendly and humorous personality was a gift to many and enhanced building my confidence as a young boy. I also knew his gentle & understanding side. Our Lord has seen fit to bless us all with having him in our lives. I pray now that you and your family will find strength and peace in pleasant memories of his gifts. Perhaps we all can take solace in knowing that he is residing with our Lord and Savior as I know of his relationship. May our Lord bless you with strength, comfort and peace in your lives.

In Appreciation and Sympathy,

Bill Pifer,
Chicago, Illinois
